How the year runs
Months 1 to 11, in Bengaluru
The full UWS curriculum on the Bengaluru campus, taught and assessed exactly as it is in Scotland. The same module list, the same marking scheme, the same external examiners. You also take an internship and a live industry project, which is what gives you something to talk about at interview.
Two weeks on the UWS campus in the UK
Not a sightseeing tour. You study on campus in Scotland, work alongside the cohort based there, and use the labs and library. Flights and accommodation are included in your fee, and no student visa is involved because it is a short study visit.
Two certificates at the end
Your UWS award is the same parchment issued in Scotland. Nothing on it marks the programme as taught abroad. Alongside it, the India partner confers a second award, so the qualification is recognised here without an equivalence process.
Questions we get asked
Is the UWS certificate different because I studied in India?
No. It is the same award, with the same wording, issued by the same university. There is no annotation about the teaching location.
Do I pay twice for two degrees?
No. One programme, one fee, both awards. Your fee is confirmed in writing when we make your offer.
What if my UK visit visa is refused?
Your degree does not depend on the two weeks abroad. The award is earned on the Bengaluru programme, so a refused visit visa does not put your qualification at risk.
Will employers recognise both awards?
The UWS award is a UK Master's and is recognised as one. The India partner award is conferred locally, which is what removes the equivalence step for Indian employers and public sector recruiters.
